Program Assistant ~ Yreka Community Resource Center
We are currently looking for a committed Program Assistant to join our team. As a Program Assistant, you will handle a diverse range of administrative tasks and provide essential support to ensure the smooth daily operations of our resource center. Your role involves working closely with participants, guiding them through various programs and available resources.
Qualifications
Computer proficiency in a Windows environment, Microsoft Office, email, and databases
Maturity and experience working successfully with diverse populations
Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with participants and adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
Demonstrated knowledge of service area and geographic locations within Siskiyou County
Willingness and ability to work under fast-paced and occasionally stressful conditions, with the ability to multi-task
Self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly
Ability to take direction and follow through to complete assigned tasks
Excellent organizational skills
Posses and maintains a valid CA Drivers License and vehicle insurance
Possess reliable transportation
Be available to work non-traditional hours
Education and Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. Undergraduate degree is an asset
Two years experience in a clerical office or administrative position
Experience working with children, families, and youth is desired

The Yreka Community Resource Center is seeking an AARP Participant to help families and adults with a variety of services. The ideal candidate will have: Basic computer skills, general office knowledge, excellent customer service, be flexible and have a willingness to work in a team environment. The position is paid for by AARP - 20 hrs. per week.
The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a community service and work-based job training program for older Americans. Authorized by the Older Americans Act, the program provides training for low-income, unemployed seniors. Participants also have access to employment assistance through American Job Centers.
SCSEP participants gain work experience in a variety of community service activities at non-profit and public facilities, including schools, hospitals, day-care centers, and senior centers.
Participants must be at least 55, unemployed, and have a family income of no more than 125% of the federal poverty level.
